Welcome to Melody Mocktail, a U.S.-based online marketplace for connecting users for rental offers, rental requirements, travel companion postings, legal help, and events. 1. Platform Role

Melody Mocktail is a neutral platform and intermediary. We do not own, operate, or guarantee any rental property, travel arrangement, legal service, or event listed on the platform. We do not participate in or control any agreement, transaction, or meeting between users. All interactions are user-to-user at your own risk.

2. Eligibility

You must be 18 years or older (or the age of majority in your state) to use our Services. By signing up, you confirm that the information you provide is true and accurate.

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials.
You are responsible for all activity under your account.
You agree to keep your profile information current and truthful.

4. User-Generated Content

You may post:

Rental properties or requirements
Travel companion requests
Legal requirement postings
Events

You agree that:

You are solely responsible for your content.
You will not post false, misleading, fraudulent, harmful, or illegal information.
You grant Melody Mocktail a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and distribute your posts on the platform.

We reserve the right to remove posts that violate these Terms or U.S. law.

5. Payments

We charge only for:

Posting fees (beyond any free quota)
Post boosting (highlighting your post for increased visibility)
Identity verification fees (optional, to earn a “Verified” badge)

All fees are displayed before payment. Payments are final and non-refundable unless required by law.

6. Identity Verification

Users who choose to undergo ID verification consent to provide government-issued identification (e.g., driver’s license, passport) for the purpose of confirming identity.

Verification data is securely processed and stored only as long as needed to complete verification or as required by law.
Verified status does not guarantee safety, reliability, or trustworthiness of a user — it only confirms that their identity has been validated.

7. Chat & Communications

We provide an in-platform chat feature for communication between users.

Chats are private and not shared with third parties, except:

When required by law, subpoena, or legal request
When necessary for moderation, fraud prevention, or safety investigations

We encourage users to be cautious about sharing sensitive personal or financial details.

8. User Responsibility & Safety

Verifying the identity and credibility of other users before meeting, renting, or transacting
Using safe practices (e.g., meeting in public places)
Reporting fraudulent or suspicious activity
